WASHINGTON - The United States Mint today announced plans for the release of the new 2012 American Eagle San Francisco Two-Coin Silver Proof Set. This historic set will contain one silver proof coin and one silver reverse proof coin, both bearing the "S" mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco. The coins, struck in 99.9 percent silver, will be mounted in a custom blue lacquer presentation case accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

WASHINGTON - The United States Mint today announced the release dates for two new $1 coin product options. Beginning April 30 at noon Eastern Time (ET), the bureau will accept orders for the 2012 Chester Arthur Presidential $1 Coin 100-Coin Bags. In addition, the bureau will offer the 2012 Native American $1 Coin 100-Coin Bags for sale on May 14 at noon ET. Peterson and Chaco Culture National Historical Park Superintendent Barbara West today launched the quarter-dollar coin honoring Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico during the dedication ceremony for the site's new visitor center. The coin's reverse (tails side) design illustrates a view to the west of two elevated kivas that are part of the Chetro Ketl Complex. The design also shows the north wall of Chetro Ketl and the north wall of Chaco Canyon.

The coin's reverse (tails side) depicts a Coqui tree frog sitting on a leaf and a Puerto Rican parrot behind an epiphyte plant with tropical flora in the background. The coin is the first to be released in 2012 and the 11th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program.
