The June 2026 Greater Atlanta Coin Show welcomed lots of visitors to a room filled with dealers and their displays of coins, currency, bullion and other collectibles. People at the show can buy, sell, trade or just browse among the treasures shown in the dealers' showcases.

As for the day outside, it's not quite summertime on the calendar, but you couldn't prove it by the temperatures. The weather was nice but hot with some rain relief in the early afternoon.

Whether you braved the heat or the rain, we appreciate all of you who came to enjoy the show. The AC had to work with all the outside heat, but it kept the show floor comfortable.

Thank you to all our visitors, our dealers, our security and the IAM Union Hall's staff. You help make the show a fun place to spend a few hours each month.
For June, the food ladies could not join us, but they plan on being back for the July show. Our young gentleman with the drinks and snacks also had a conflict and could not attend.

A few of our visitors brought inherited items for appraisal. Some choose to sell based on the appraised values while others decided to keep their collections.

Some people brought interesting collections of foreign coins to determine their value. Several of our dealers enjoy working with a variety of foreign coins and know their value whether still in circulation or demonetized.

For example, Irish pound coins are no longer valid as money since they were replaced by the Euro. However, the right collector could find those coins of interest.
The metals' markets continue to bounce in value and have dropped significantly from their early 2026 high values.

But, even at lower rates, current silver and gold values are still much higher than they were in years past.

People continue to bring silver and gold items to the show to sell.

On the other hand, some people come to the show looking to buy precious metals items such as coins, rounds and bars.

Since this is a "coin" show, people still come to look for collectible coin items. For instance, people looked for Barber coins to fill in collections.

The Barber coins, designed by the US Mint's chief engraver Charles E. Barber, consist of the Barber dime, 1892-1916, the Barber quarter, 1892-1916, and the Barber half dollar coin, 1892-1915. He also designed the Liberty Head or "V" nickel coin, 1883-1913.

Several of his designs are very similar, especially in his portrayal of Liberty on the obverse. However, some collectors find these coins very desirable and pay premiums for them.
On a different interest, people came looking for ancient coins. Some dealers specialize in the ancients with their deep and varied history. These coins are in the thousand-year plus range in age, while our American made coins began less than 250 years ago.

Dealers at the Greater Atlanta Coin Show provide a broad variety of interests and expertise from the ancient to the colonial to the modern, from American to world, from coins to bullion to currency, from circulated to proof, from raw to graded.

You can find almost any numismatic or related interest at the show each month.

The June 2026 Greater Atlanta Coin Show included a floor filled with dealers and a wide assortment of displays for our visitors to enjoy.

Now, let's think about the next show.
