The December Greater Atlanta Coin Show welcomed lots of visitors to the bourse with its dealers and their displays of coins, currency, bullion and other collectibles.

We thank the many visitors along with the dealers, our security and the hotel's staff for supporting the show each month. Each of you contributes to the show's success. All of your efforts are appreciated.

Mother Nature provided a pretty, but cold and windy, day with temperatures in the 30s. At one point, the weather appeared to be spittin' snow. But, you had to look carefully to see the tiny flakes.

Whether it was the holidays or the increasing metals' prices, the show was a busy place with the dealers filling their displays and tables while the guests filled the aisles.

As silver and gold commodity prices continued upward, people brought silver and gold items to sell after obtaining an appraisal.

Some people brought old European coins and other items to be identified and appraised. One turned out to be a button but their others weren't. In the right place, that button could be rare too.
The bourse also saw some of the new American Silver Eagles with the Navy and the Marine privy marks. Though the privy marks are interesting, it remains to be seen if those American Silver Eagles will have any value above "regular" Silver Eagles without the privy marks.

We saw some new, young faces visiting the show and expressing an interest in foreign coins. Yes, there are dealers on the bourse with foreign coins. We welcome the new visitors to the show and hope they return.

Each month, we have a few people that arrive very late in the day, between 3:30 and 4:00. Several of our dealers leave by mid-afternoon and the remaining dealers begin to pack up late in the day.

The show hours are 9am-4pm. You are welcome to visit anytime. However, just be aware that the most displays, the most dealers and the most opportunities are available earlier in the day.

We hope each and every one of you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. We wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Now, let's take a look at an important topic at the show.

New Show Location for 2026

In the past, we signed a yearly contract with this particular hotel location for the last 15 years.

During the negotiation for the 2026 contract, the hotel wanted the contract to state the show would be downstairs in the three smaller and separate conference rooms: the Lyon, Sanford and Cole rooms.

Over the past 15 years, the hotel's management moved the show downstairs into those rooms 13 times due to a conflict with the ballroom.

Both our dealers and our frequent guests complained strongly every time the show was in the three separate conference rooms.

For 2026, we made the decision to move to a new location going forward.

The new location is the IAM Union Hall for Local Lodge 709 located at 1032 South Marietta Parkway, SE, Marietta, Georgia 30060.
This facility has a large, relatively flat parking area with space in their meeting hall for the show. The space is larger than the ballroom at the hotel. Therefore, the show's aisles will be wider and provide easier access to all the dealers and their displays.

You can find more details about the location by clicking on Locations and Directions.

You can find a printable copy of the above 2026 flyer on the Show Dates page.

We are excited about the new location and the opportunities it offers the show.

Come visit us at the new location.
