Coins - Coin and Currency Sets

Not every year, but on occasion, the US Mint packages one of their commemorative coins with currency, real or replica, in coin and currency sets. These sets also include a booklet of information generally describing some historical significance of the coins or their subject matter. Sometimes, the sets also include other coins and stamps along with the commemorative coin and the currency.

With most of these sets, the US Mint titled them "Coinage and Currency" sets. Today, however, most people shorten the name to "coin and currency" sets.

The sets have some consistent attributes, but their packaging and contents make each set uniquely colorful and beautiful.

In year order, the coin and currency sets included:

The coins in the Coin and Currency sets are uncirculated rather than proof. The coins' mintages are included in the total uncirculated mintages and not separately for the coin and currency sets.
