The text says:

----------

THE DIRECTOR OF THE UNITED STATES MINT
WASHINGTON, D.C. 20220

Dear Mint Customer:

The 1984 Prestige Set contains the 1984 Olympic silver proof dollar, the second Olympic silver coin ever to be produced by the United States Mint, as well as a proof half dollar, quarter, dime, nickel and one cent coin. This is the second year that the United States Mint has offered a Prestige Set, a package designed especially for the Olympic Coin Program.

The 1984 dollar was designed by Mr. Robert Graham, an American sculptor who is creating a sculpture to be placed at the entrance of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for the 1984 Summer Olympics. His sculpture with the Olympic Coliseum in the background is featured on the obverse of the coin with an eagle on the reverse.

All proof coins are produced at the San Francisco Assay Office and have the "S" mint mark. The coins are multiply struck on specially prepared dies and blanks to provide magnificent detail. The frosted relief design and the high luster of the background result in jewel-like coins of true beauty.

Each coin has been struck in accordance with the coin specifications mandated by law. On the reverse of this card you will find the specifications for each of the six coins.

We are pleased to make these unique sets available to you.

Sincerely,
Donna Pope
