Certificate of Authenticity and Coin Specifications
The certificate for the 1993 Prestige Set continued the larger format introduced in 1992. Printed on
large paper slightly smaller than legal size, the certificate was folded in half then in half again before being
placed with the set.
The front of the folded Certificate of Authenticity shows the heraldic eagle printed in silver over "Certificate
of Authenticity" printed in blue. Below a line, "THE 1993 BILL OF RIGHTS COMMEMORATIVE COINS PRESTIGE SET" is
printed in black.
The Mint used a cream colored paper with silver flecks decorated with a silver certificate border.
They varied black, silver and blue ink throughout the printed content.
On the back, the Mint's seal in blue is printed over "Department of the Treasury United States Mint" in black
ink.
Inside the first fold, the US Mint identifies the obverse and reverse designers of the two commemorative coins
under a silver printed heraldic eagle.

The Designers
SILVER DOLLAR COIN
Obverse Designer: William J. Krawczewicz
A Visual Information Specialist with the U.S. Mint, Mr. Krawczewicz has been designing and producing exhibits and
presentations since joining the Mint in 1990. A native of Washington, D.C., he received a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Advertising Design from the University of Maryland in 1988. Mr. Krawczewicz began his career as a Design
Patent Examiner with the United States Patent Office.
Reverse Designer: Dean McMullen
Mr. McMullen's previous awards include the winning designs for the 1965 Pacific Science Center of Seattle gold
medal and the 1967, 1968 and 1969 Hawaiian medals to commemorate Captain James Cook. He holds a Bachelor's Degree
in Drawing and Painting from the University of Oregon and currently resides in Portland, Oregon. Mr. McMullen also
designed the reverse of the Bill of Rights Silver Half Dollar.
SILVER HALF DOLLAR COIN
Obverse Designer: T. James Ferrell
Prior to joining the U.S. Mint in 1989, Mr. Ferrell spent 20 years at the Franklin Mint, where he created coin
designs for Panama, the Philippines, Egypt and others. His designs for the U.S. Mint include the Congressional Gold
Medal to honor Jesse Owens, the reverse of the 1991 Mount Rushmore Half Dollar, and the reverse of the 1991 Korean
War Memorial Coin. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts.
