Coins - 1994 Mint Set -
larger images
The US Mint continued the simple theme for the insert in the 1994 mint set. The front was similar to the outer
envelope, and the text came from the previous year's set except for the year of the set.
The five uncirculated coins and the two mint tokens seem to sit above the pale blue color of the insert in the
1994 mint set. A darker blue line forms a border inset from the edge while in the upper left red lettering states,
"The 1994 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set."
Inside the insert, a red border forms a block around the contents. The top section simply
restates the title, "The 1994 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set" in a red font on the pale
blue background.
In the bottom section of the 1994 mint set's insert, blue text describes the coins, their designs and
their classic beauty along with the US Mint's processes for producing and protecting the uncirculated
coins. Except for the "1994," this text is exactly the same as that included in the previous
year's mint set.
The back of the insert in the 1994 mint set lists the coin specifications for each of the five uncirculated
coins in the mint set. The coin specifications include the metal composition, the weight and the size in
addition to the designs and the artists for the obverse and reverse of each coin.
